High performance, High Temperature Adhesives for Automotive Applications Particularly Brake Components

- May 28, 2011

Patent - The invention is directed to benzoxazine containing adhesive having high adhesive strength at high temperature. These materials are especially useful in automotive applications, in particular, as adhesives for break components. Methods of their use are also described in this invention. The invention is in response to a need for an adhesive suitable for use in a vehicle brake component that has high shear strength without releasing volatile materials during curing and that retains bond strength at high temperatures even after the addition of elastomeric materials.
