On this occasion, the start of construction of the new production building was celebrated, as well.
"With more than 300 employees and sales revenues of about € 50 million, DELO is part of the growth engine for SMEs in Germany", says Dr. Philipp Rösler, Federal Minister of Economics, in his salutatory speech. Afterwards, the Minister and the Herolds cut the blue ribbon to open the new laboratory buildings. In the future, about 130 employees will find space to work on the three floors.
"More space for innovation is our motto", says Sabine Herold. "Spatial expansion was necessary as our number of employees massively increased, and this trend will continue". Within five years, the company could double its number of employees. Another 80 employees are being searched in the current fiscal year. "You offer a "Great Place to Work" here in Windach. This makes you an attractive employer for both German and international top employees", says the Minister who was informed about the company during the subsequent company tour.
A separate pilot plant enables DELO to produce own raw materials and primary products. "This is how we create really special products for our customers and what makes us unique in comparison to our competitors", explains Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Herold, Managing Partner of DELO.
At the same time, construction of the new production building started. Production in the new building will commence already in spring 2013.
