Adhesives are used to adhere ceiling tiles for indoor application although these are often mechanically fastened in place (drop-in types) with grid systems for reliability and easy removal. Ceiling tiles are often acoustical panels. These tiles can be fabricated from foam, cork, or other materials.
The choice of adhesive is part dependent on the composition of the tile and in part on the structural substrate to which it is bonded. The adhesive is required to be fast setting and to have a high degree of early tack and cohesive strength to hold the tile in position and not allow it to sag.
